Brazilian OM

Brazilian OM

This guitar features a very unique Brazilian Rosewood back and side set paired with a master grade  Adirondack red spruce soundboard.  The 5 piece neck is 1 23/32″ wide at the nut and made from Honduran mahogany and curly maple. The truss rod is adjustable through the sound hole.  The rosette is a beautiful amboyna burl.  There are curly maple bindings with red-green-red purfling lines throughout the guitar.  The scale length is 25″ with jumbo frets of German silver.  The fretboard, bridge and bridge pins are ebony.  This instrument also has Brazilian rosewood veneer on the bound peghead with Waverly tuning machines.  There is a clear pickguard.

String spacing at the bridge is 2 1/8.” The body is 15 5/8″ across the lower bout and 4 1/8″ deep at the tail.

I have been playing this guitar for several years and find that it is very powerful both in the treble and the bass registers. The mid range is clear and the sustain is exceptional.  When played fingerstyle, the balance and projection are very satisfying.  If flat picked, the guitar responds well with a punchy attack and the voicing remains clear even when played very aggressively.
